I can’t actually cope with the heat in my office. Every day I come in and feel like I am going to pass out. There is no air-conditioning on at all and all the windows are wide open even when it is turned on.

I have never quite had it be this bad in all my time in Korea. Its just disgustingly hot. Its gotten to the point where I am passive aggressively fanning myself all the time with a big folder because I just don’t give a fuck anymore and at least it does something.

Someone needs to turn the air conditioning on already. I am melting. :(

HSBC are so irritating it is actually laughable.

I go online to do an international transfer.

Transfer doesn’t work, screen keeps refreshing.

Call up. Guy says to remove commas from fucking address.

Transfer still doesn’t work.

Call up again. Woman can’t hear me. Tells me to call back.

Call up again. A fucking fire drill can be heard in the fucking distance and she says she’ll call me back.

WHAT IS THIS? AM I DOOMED? I JUST WANT TO TRANSFER SOME FUCKING MONEY.

Oh my goodness this is an actual thing! I thought I was the only one who scoffed at their slogan of being ‘local’!

Because right now I am trying to wire money online to Korea and its just refusing to go through. So instead of paying the cheaper fee to do it online I am going to have to call them up, pay the higher fee and pay the phone bill.

Thanks for all the ideas. :) I hadn’t even thought about Boracay so I am definitely going to look into it. As long as its not too much of an ordeal to get there as traveling by myself and trying to find the right buses/taxis has never been a strong point of mine! The beach does sound tempting though!

And I also hadn’t realised that I could do Kuala Lumpur/Singapore together, so clearly I know nothing at all. haha.

But I am also thinking about Thailand and maybe going to Chiang Mai, so clearly I have no freaking clue where I want to go at all and I just need to make a decision alreadyyyy. Being indecisive is clearly a major problem I am having!

And yes. Taiwan would be great too! haha. But I think I am going to go with the cheapest of the three above. Whichever one I can get the most of my money will be the one I go to. I think that’s the only way that will force me to make a decision!

Internet banking and transfers in Korea has just taken ten years off my life.

KB is the worst bank in the freaking world, and its ‘Global’ ATM machine is just a lie. If a cash machine has the word VISA above it you would assume that it would erm, accepts VISA cards. Apparently freaking not. Argh.

Its taken me two hours and practically my entire evening to figure out how in the heck I am going to get money from England to Korea, because I think I may have fucked up my KEB internet banking as its just not working and the website wont load and when it did it kept rejecting my information. And my bank in England kept me on the phone for 30 minutes, so I think I may just have gotten the phone bill of my life. ㅠㅠ

So I am going to the HSBC tomorrow in Seohyeon. If that wont let me withdraw money then I don’t know what I am going to do. I think I will hunt down every ‘foreign’ ATM in Bundang and force one of them to let me use my card. ‘Foreign’ meaning that it says its a VISA service but as soon as you put your VISA into the machine it spits it back out and tells you to speak to a bank teller. Yeah, hoping to not find that kind of foreign machine again. -.-

A good problem to have

This week is the week for booking holidays. Jeju was yesterday, and so now its onto my August vacation.

But where??? There are just too many options and not enough time!

My list so far is: Taipei, Singapore, Cebu, Kuala Lumpur, back to Bangkok?, Tokyo (again) for shopping?, …somewhere else? I’d like a new stamp in my passport though, haha, so I am probably going to cross off Japan/Thailand.

But as much as I love traveling alone, I am always really cautious too. I have had way to many close calls in the past to just hop on a plane without an itinerary/knowledge about the country first. I used to just buy a ticket and fly, but argh, I just can’t anymore!

So yeah, I have a map of Asia and no clue where to stick my pin in it. Singapore is seeming like the most likely choice, but I’ll probably change my mind ten times before making my final decision. ><

Any suggestions tumblr?

Its going to be the shortest holiday ever, but its going to be worth it. :) For one full day and two (very luxurious) nights, we will be by the ocean celebrating my bf’s birthday.

To be honest his birthday falling in that month was a bit of a bonus, but I figured that we should make the most of it anyway and make a celebration of it!

Kind of feeling a little weird about taking a flight on a weekend though, but we are leaving mid-afternoon Sunday so I am hoping all will be ok.

Oh well. In just over a month I’ll be in a fancy hotel, eating seafood and relaxing by the ocean. ^^ Now its onto my plans for my actual weeks holiday in August. I am thinking Singapore…

Today, somewhere in Osan.

We went out to celebrate my debt-freeness, ate pizza and steak, drank beer and got a little sunburnt. ^^

Then we made our way back to Suwon, and decided that Jeju is on for the 19th of next month, (booking tickets this week!) as that is bf’s birthday weekend, and we’ll be there for around 1.5 days. haha. Not exactly ideal but its better than nothing and I can’t wait!

Now its back to work tomorrow. Its been a whole week away from the school, and ugh, do I really have to go back???
